What We Know

Irma will remain an intense hurricane, at least Category 4, as it approaches South Florida this weekend, with potentially devastating impacts. The hurricane will then go on to affect much of the peninsula, with the severity of impacts in any one location dependent on the exact path it moves along.

It is likely that we will lose power and cell phone towers may be down. With this possibility, we wanted to communicate with you BEFORE the storm hits.

How You Can Help

1. We will put together "First Responder" teams of 12-15 people. If you are able to join one of these teams, please email your name, contact information, and any specific skills to tim.dove@bridgechurchfl.com.
As soon as the storm is over we will be sending out these teams to where they are needed.

2. After the storm is over we will collect the items below at the Core Team Central building, Wednesday 9/13- Friday 9/15 from 12:00pm- 5:30pm. They will be distributed through the Manatee County Emergency Operation Center.

  • Non perishable food
  • Bottled Water
  • First Aid kits
  • Baby Supplies - Disposable diapers, wipes & formula
  • Dog & Cat food
  • New/packaged socks & underwear
  • Batteries
  • Portable Generators

This is a time where we are able to "be the Church" in our community during a time of great need. We're in this together and we're better together!
