Simple and random acts of kindness can open the hearts of people to the love of Jesus. Together, we are going to take our community by storm and help them experience the life-changing power of God's love.
If not personally in need, at some point we will all know a friend, neighbor, family member, or co-worker who needs a blood transfusion. In fact, 1 out of 3 people will need blood in their lifetime. From natural disasters to unforeseen catastrophes, emergency hospital procedures to life-long battles with chronic diseases such as sickle cell, the demand for blood is constant. The supply is not. And since there is no substitute, only volunteer blood donors can roll up their sleeves and save lives. Click here to register
Manatee County Food Bank
As the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays approach, the need for assistance with food items goes up. During Love Happens week we will be collecting enough food to fill up the Manatee County Food Bank van. So go out there and take advantage of the “BOGO’s” and bring in as many non-perishable items as you can.
We believe in taking the hope of Jesus outside of our church walls, so this Thanksgiving Day we’ll be working with the El Crucero Ministry as they reach out to the Hispanic community in Palmetto. They will be serving 600 – 900 people in their local community and sharing the love of Christ from 2:00 – 4:00pm on Thanksgiving Day. To donate food and/or volunteer to serve at this event, sign up after each service November 5th.
Florida Baptist Children's Homes
The diaper drive is our effort to collect 600,000 individual diapers for children served through foster care, single mom’s ministry, adoption and compassion ministries. Drop off on November 12 - 18, at the church.
