Love Happens Nov 17th-21st
One of our favorite times of the year – Love Happens Week! A time for us to come together as a church and be the hands and feet of Jesus to our community.
Sunday - November 17th
We will need ALL Thanksgiving Baskets
Thanksgiving Basket: We have 300 baskets available in between services (once they're gone, that's it) with a shopping list of all the items needed to fill the basket with. Please write the amount on the gift card. Bring back to the church and drop off at the main entrance (by the indoor playground).
School Snack Restock: We will be gathering snacks and clothing to restock the supply closet at Ballard Elementary. This is a school that we partner with, and we would love to be able to bless them. This school has kids that are homeless and families that are low-income. Please bring snacks (Individually packaged, such as chips, granola bars, or goldfish) and any new children's clothing (new children's khaki shorts and plain navy blue t-shirts, sizes 4T-8, socks and undergarments).
Monday - November 18th
Thanksgiving Basket Assembly: starting at 10:30 am (come and go as you need) we will be organizing the items for the baskets and then filling them so they're all uniform, and taking time to pray over them.
Neighborhood Love: We will be sending a food truck to a neighborhood that has been affected by the hurricane. We will also prepare goodies and cookies to hand out to the kids and families after lunch. Additionally, we want to pray with families in need.
Tuesday - November 19th
School Snack Restock: We will be delivering the snacks and clothing that was collected, to restock the supply closet at Ballard Elementary at 10 am.
Serve at Paradise Bay: We will be sending a team out to love on the residents of Paradise Bay as they have been devastated by the hurricanes. We will be sending in a food truck and having a team that will deliver food, and pray for people in the neighborhood. We will also need people to sign up to bring desserts. This team will also be decorating the clubhouse for Christmas! 11-1:30 pm. Additionally, we will set up tables with supplies the residents can come and grab.
Wednesday - November 20th
Serve at Sunny Shores: We will be sending a team out to love on the residents of Sunny Shores as they have been devastated by the hurricanes. We will be sending in a food truck and having a team that will deliver food and pray for people in the neighborhood. We will also need people to sign up to bring desserts. This team will also be decorating the clubhouse for Christmas! 11-1:30 pm.
Thursday - November 21st
Serve at Cortez Park: We will be sending a team out to love on the residents of Cortez Park as they have been devastated by the hurricanes. We will be sending in a food truck and having a team that will deliver food and pray for people in the neighborhood. We will also need people to sign up to bring desserts. This team will also be decorating the clubhouse for Christmas! 11-1:30 pm.
Thanksgiving Basket Drive-Thru & Prayer: We will be set up in the church parking lot for people to drive-thru and pick up their Thanksgiving Baskets and receive prayer.
